Refunds & cancellations

If you paid through someone's form, that money went to them, not to us — so they are who can refund it. If you paid us for Pro, this page is about that.

1. If you paid through a form

Formpey does not collect, hold, or process your payment. When you pay on a form, the money moves directly from you to the organiser, into their own Razorpay account. We never take custody of it and we take no commission from it.

This means we cannot issue you a refund, reverse a charge, or compel an organiser to do either. We do not have access to the funds and we have no standing in the transaction.

Contact the organiser directly. They hold the money, so they are the only party who can return it.

Their contact details are on the form you filled in, and the receipt we sent you names the form and carries the Razorpay payment reference — quote that reference, because it is the identifier their Razorpay dashboard can be searched by.

If the organiser is unreachable or refuses, your remedy is with your bank or card issuer via a chargeback, and with Razorpay as the payment gateway. We will cooperate with either by confirming what our records show about a submission, but we cannot move money.

2. Refund timelines, when an organiser does refund you

Once an organiser initiates a refund through Razorpay, the money typically reaches the original payment method in 5–7 working days, depending on your bank. That timeline belongs to Razorpay and your bank, not to us, and we have no way to expedite it.

3. If you are an organiser refunding a respondent

Issue the refund from your own Razorpay dashboard, against the payment in question. Nothing in Formpey needs to change for a refund to go through — the money is yours to return.

Note that a refund issued in Razorpay does not currently change the payment status shown in your Formpey responses table, which will still read Paid. That reflects what happened at the time of submission. Keep your own record of refunds issued.

4. Formpey Pro

Pro is billed as a one-time payment for a fixed period rather than an auto-renewing subscription, so there is nothing to cancel — access simply ends when the period does, and you are never charged again without deciding to be.

If Pro is not what you expected, write to support@formpey.com within 7 days of paying and we will refund it in full, no reason required. After 7 days we will consider requests case by case, and we would rather refund someone who is unhappy than argue about it.

The refund is issued through Razorpay, back to whatever you paid with — card, UPI, netbanking or wallet — the same way the charge reaches your statement. It typically lands within 5–7 working days, which is Razorpay’s own timeline for a reversal, not something we can speed up from our side.

Downgrading to Free does not delete your forms or your responses. The Pro-only limits reapply — see pricing for what those are.

5. Contacting us

Refund questions about Pro, and only about Pro, go to support@formpey.com. For anything you paid an organiser, please contact the organiser — we genuinely cannot help, and writing to us first only costs you time.
